About
I am Esscie, a very busy mother of five who lives in rural Connecticut. I’m
a part-time SAHM, a part-time substitute teacher, a professional
bargain-hunter, and unashamedly a full-time Christian. I love all my jobs!
You can read about my tribe and some of our adventures on my other blog,
“The Frustrated Perfectionist.”
A few people have asked lately what I get out of doing this. At the moment
the answer is simple: nothing. However, I was spending hours each week
cataloging my coupons and putting together great deals. It’s too much work
to keep the information all to myself, so my real-life friend The Bargain
Shopper Lady encouraged me to start this site in order to help you get in on
the best deals. Her specialty is on-line deals, while I will mostly (but
not exclusively) bring you deals for brick and mortar stores. Blogging is
still new to me, but I’m adding features as quickly as I learn them in order
to maximize our savings.
Eventually I will post ads on the sidebars to help cover my expenses. I
promise to make them as unobtrusive as possible. One of my goals is to
include a banner that you can click on to print internet coupons; I’m still
trying to figure that one out. In the meantime I have established
affilations with a few companies. That means that if you click through the
links on my site and register and/or make a purchase I’ll be paid a
commission once certain thresholds are met. These are my current sponsors:
Amazon.com (books and almost anything else)
Bluehost.com (my web host)
Buy.com USA (where I bought my fax machine for under $20)
Christian Book Distributors (religious books and gifts)
Coupons.com (excellent source of printable coupons)
Upromise (save money for college)
Finally, if you have a really great deal you’d like me to share with my readers, please send me an message at esscie (at) coupon by coupon (dot) com. I’d love to hear from you!
Enjoy the savings!

Hi-
I met you at Shaws a few hours ago- thanks for the great coupon! I just wanted to let you know that the Glade Sense and spray at CVS (pg. 6) also matches a coupon from walgreens – so they are really only $.99
Happy Couponing!
Thanks for the comment and tip. I’m glad you wrote because I wanted to let you know I specifically asked the manager (Kelly?) about the transaction limit and she said as long as I took my purchases out to the car and reentered the store I could do as many as I wanted. I ended up doing 11 transactions for a total of $32.54 OOP & still have $15 in catalinas for later. I had more coupons, but needed to stop because my son was getting off of work.
